Five (or more) ways to improve your English

1) LISTEN

Films, tv series, YouTube videos, songs...but you can also listen to the radio or to podcasts (while you're doing something else!).

You can find UK radio stations HERE

USA radio stations HERE

These are my favourite podcasts specially designed for English learners:

FYI - For Your Inglés

The Show With No Name

The podcaster, Alberto Alonso, is bilingual in English (American) and Spanish, so you'll learn Spanish as well 😉

2) READ

You can read newspapers, magazines and books. Here are some links:

BBC News

CNN

ABC News (Australia)

The Guardian

You can find a list of recommended BOOKS here.

3) SPEAK

If you don't have a language partner, talk to yourself! Speak in front of a mirror or record yourself...if you find it too crazy (it is not!), you can always think in English (nobody will notice).

You can also start a conversation club with your friends 💬

4) WRITE

Text your friends, send them an email or, why not, an old-fashioned letter.

Another idea is to start a diary in English or to write something creative. Have you ever heard about The Imaginary World of... ? Have a look at this video in order to find out how this unconventional book is designed:

THE IMAGINARY WORLD OF ... - Keri Smith

If this book is not your cup of tea, but you want to practise writing and have immediate feedback. Try this:

This website is wonderful to prepare for English certificates. Your texts are corrected automatically (the mark you get might not be the most accurate. Nevertheless, this tool is great).

5) PLAY

Learning a foreign language is fun. Have a look at these websites:
